Schurrle Getting Closer To A Transfer

Schurrle has already started receiving offers from different teams after Chelsea hinted towards the fact that the German international is free to leave on loan. The Blues will have to make room for Marco Reus who is currently one of the hottest targets in Europe. Unfortunately for his fellow compatriot, this means some squad cuts will be made. Mourinho will want to make room but also get some money to add to the transfer budget. Schurrle seems the most likely to leave. He is in great shape, he is extremely popular among high end teams and he has the need to play more often. According to the Sunday Express, the 24 year old could stay in the UK though. Liverpool and Tottenham have been linked to a possible transfer after rumors that Reus and Bale are on their way to Stamford Bridge. Atletico Madrid and Dortmund could also be a option for Schurrle who could be part of a more complex deal with the German side who will lose Reus in 2015.

To be fair, Schurrle deserves a better chance to play. Unfortunately he is currently fighting for the same position as Hazard who is on top of his game and has been improving since last year. Leaving for another team will surely give the German all the chances he needs to perform on a regular basis and prove his abilities somewhere else other than only during Germany’s international encounters which he continues to be selected for by Jurgen Klinsman.
