Romano Provides New Update On Chelsea’s Reported Interest In 63M Rated Serie A Ace

Chelsea have not made any contact with the representatives of Juventus forward Paulo Dybala, according to journalist Fabrizio Romano.

Back in October, TMW reported that the Blues were seriously considering making a bid for the Argentinian international, with the player struggling to agree a new contract with the Serie A champions. However, Romano has moved to clarify the situation:

“I want to say that Chelsea have not made any contact with Dybala or his agent. They want to defend players like (Kai) Havertz or (Hakim) Ziyech, they are happy with them.”

Dybala, who is valued at £63m by Transfermarkt, has been linked with a host of Premier League clubs in recent months, including Manchester United, Tottenham and Manchester City, but it seems a move to Stamford Bridge is not on the cards.

Romano’s comments, that Chelsea are keeping faith with Kai Havertz and Hakim Ziyech, do make complete sense. The two players only moved to the London club in the summer and Dybala would be in direct competition with the pair considering he likes to play off the right or as a deep-lying forward.
