Raymond Domenech Mocks ‘Translator’ Mourinho!

Raymond Domenech, former France manager from 2004 to 2010, has released a new book titled ‘Mon dico passion du foot’ or ‘My Passionate Dictionary of Football’ in which he has criticised some of the greats of the game.

He has taken a swipe at current Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho and mocked him over the beginnings of his career as a translator to Sir Bobby Robson in Portugal, according to the Telegraph.

He wrote, “That’s the problem with translators, there comes a time when they convince themselves they wrote the text themselves.”

He has also mentioned Arsenal legend Thierry Henry in his book and used him as a comparison to lambast France legend Zinedine Zidane. He believes Henry risked his reputation by committing a handball against Ireland to enable France to go through to the 2010 World Cup but Zidane was selfish when he headbutted Marco Materazzi in the 2006 World Cup final.

He wrote, “Henry sacrificed his image for the benefit of the France team while Zidane sacrificed the team’s chances for the benefit of his pride.”
