Ramires Targeted By Real Once Again

There have been many rumors regarding Ramires’s departure in recent months. The Brazilian, although being one of Chelsea’s key players over the past few years, could look for a change in scenery. He will be entering his last two years of contract as of 2015 which might determine Mourinho to accept an offer from Real. Ramires was subject of many scenarios which saw the 27 year old as part of an exchange between Chelsea and Real Madrid. No actual deal came through but many say something will go down this winter. Currently valued at about £22 million, the Brazilian international could make way for Khedira who is on the verge of joining the Blues. It is known that Mourinho is a big fan of the German and it could well be that it is just a matter of time until the two are reunited.

Ramires and Khedira are pretty much equal when it comes to market value. As far as performance goes, Ramires seems to have the edge when it comes to speed and endurance. Khedira on the other hand is stronger defensively and has vast experience. The Brazilian who according to the Mirror, is one of Ancelotti’s favorite players, could be keen on going to Santiago Bernabeu. The fact that Ancelotti is not very fond of Khedira might also help. Real have lost Xabi Alonso this summer and will be looking to sign someone who can hold up the middle section of the pitch. Ramires looks like he could help the Spanish side. It is now up to Chelsea to see if a swap is possible. Both clubs seem interested in the same thing so reaching an agreement might be easy enough in relative terms.
