Oscar No Longer Certain Of His Future With Chelsea

Young midfielder Oscar along with the majority of his team-mates was not able to live up to expectations at the World Cup despite being one of Chelsea’s most impressive players during the first part of the 2013-2014 season. The Brazilian will have to get over what happened in his home country as Chelsea are set to start the domestic competition in a couple of weeks. According to Metro, Oscar has a lot to prove especially after rumors suggest the only reason why the 22 year old made the team was because Mourinho favored him over Mata who had a fallout with the Portuguese boss.

Despite being one of Brazil’s most used players, he still did not manage to impress. He only stood out from the squad because of his goal against Germany. He seemed tired like many of his colleagues and lacked the necessary vision needed in order to lead his team to victory.

After seeing Oscar’s performance during the World Cup and after also seeing Luiz perform for his country, rumors say Mourinho plans on replacing the 22 year old midfielder with Fabregas. Even though most did not see the point in transferring the Spaniard, it seems that the Portuguese boss knows what he is doing. Luiz was sold just before the World Cup for an impressive amount of money and Fabregas was brought in a few weeks ago. Arsenal’s former captain might be preferred over Oscar who has been linked to PSG as well. It is hard to believe though that any Brazilian player will be moving to an big club after the disappointing World Cup performance.
