Mourinho Trying To Sign Juan Cuadrado

Chelsea are looking to bring in Juan Cuadrado who is available given his buy-out clause tied to the contract with Fiorentina. According to Metro, negotiations have already started and are close to reaching the end the final stages. It is a bit strange though to see Mourinho giving up Schurrle and Salah for Cuadrado. The German International is more than capable of performing on both sides but is extremely efficient on the left. The Columbian has the same profile as Willian as well so it will be a bit redundant to spend money on a 26 year old player when you have two younger similar wingers in the squad.

Cuadrado is under contract with Fiorentina until 2019 but is expected to leave a lot earlier. After the World Cup, the Columbian was praised and seen as the next big transfer in Europe. For some reason he remained with his club. The 26 year old winger is a solid candidate for any major team given his excellent technique and speed. What is even better about him is that he has never had an injury that kept him off the pitch for more than two weeks which means he could be well suited to the Premier League where football is more physical than other leagues.
