There were various reports linking Marco Reus with a move to Stamford Bridge next summer, and it could also involve a possible swap deal with Andre Schurrle moving in the opposite direction. However, Mourinho has quashed such rumours after confirming that Chelsea are not targeting the German, according to Metro.

Chelsea’s official twitter handle tweeted: “When asked by local media, Jose says Chelsea are not interested in signing Borussia Dortmund player Marco Reus.”

Although Mourinho can have a trick up a sleeve and go back on his words, the chances of that happening are very slim. Reus has suffered another injury and is expected to be out for the rest of the year.
