Mourinho Enjoying Recent Stellar Performances From His Chelsea Side

Jose Mourinho has just delivered his first silverware with the Capital One Cup after returning for his 2nd spell in charge at Stamford Bridge and I am sure it is a season later than he would have liked (not to mention Mr Abramovich) but his side is now playing the Mourinho way – almost always very smart; always rock-solid yet still managing to be heroic in defence at times; clinical when key goal chances arise and they have a superb team spirit.

Mourinho says Chelsea’s 1-0 win over West Ham was especially satisfying after Sunday’s Capital One Cup final win. Chelsea could easily have been suffering a hangover from the Capital One Cup final and in a way you would not have faulted them too much if they came out of the blocks slowly but that was not the case as they defended from the first whistle like their lives depended on it,  and JT and the boys including young Kurt Zouma were most excellent snuffing out chance after chance from the Hammers and when West Ham did look likely to score that genius Courtois was there to thwart them time and time again.

Hazard’s rare headed goal (yes you read that right the Belgian magician actually scored with his noggin) was a moment of sheer class from the team after a swift counter attack lead by the Belgian who surprisingly also finished it. Mourinho is a happy man this week and you hear that in his interview below…
