Moses Refuses Return To Chelsea

Victor Moses has decided to stay with Stoke until May when his contract expires. Rumors have it that the 24 year old was recalled to Stamford Bridge in order to strengthen the squad for the last part of the season. With Salah and Schurrle leaving, Mourinho had to make sure he does not lose consistency and that his squad is capable of staying on top. According to Metro, Moses refused to return though and decided Stoke is the place to be. He made this decision because he wanted to make sure he plays on a regular basis which he does. Moving back to Chelsea would have kept him on the bench most of the time as the Blues are only focusing on the Premier League.

Moses knew that competing with Hazard would be too difficult for him especially considering the Belgian’s amazing form. The Nigerian international might be planning a permanent move as his contract with Chelsea will expire in 2017. Even though he has managed to make 43 appearances for the Blues and scored 10 times, the 24 year old winger is unhappy with his situation. Since 2013 when he moved to Chelsea he has been used mostly as a substitute due to the fact that he is most productive on the left side which is dominated by Hazard. Probably, he will leave at the end of the season as he has dropped in value and is not viewed as being worth half the money spent on him when he came to Stamford Bridge.
