Marko Marin Rejected By Anderlecht

Marko Marin continues to disappoint and will probably leave Stamford Bridge at the end of the season. Out of all the transfers made by the Blues, the German international is perhaps ahead of Fernando Torres in terms of not delivering for Chelsea after signing him. The 26 year old has suffered disappointment after disappointment since joining Chelsea who according to teamTALK has been refused by Anderlecht who were offered a 70% discount for the midfielder’s transfer. After leaving Fiorentina where he made no appearances and scored no goals, Mourinho sent him to Belgium to jumpstart his career. Seen as one of the most promising players of his generation, Marin was featured in under 10 games and will not be coming back to London.

Werder’s former star playmaker who was a key player for both Monchengladbach and Bremen, started his downfall after failing to impress at Stamford Bridge. In his few selections he only managed to find the net once and had big trouble handling the rigors of the Premier League. Even though from a technical point of view he was well-suited to play for Chelsea, seemingly he lacked power and determination.

After moving to Sevilla he started picking up the pace but failed to impress the Spaniards enough to keep him there for good. Marko Marin will be out of contract by 2017. Up until then Chelsea will probably try and recover some of the money invested in him which will be hard to get back considering his current situation. When signing with the Blues he was valued at £11m and now Chelsea will probably be lucky if he is to be sold for about £2m.
