According to Metro, Real Madrid are willing to raise the bidding war and challenge Paris Saint Germain for the signing of Chelsea duo Oscar and Eden Hazard, after the pair impressed both sets of clubs with goals galore in their current season.

Hazard and Oscar have scored 28 goals between the duo in all competitions, and are Chelsea’s top scorers for Jose Mourinho. Chelsea have missed the presence of a prolific centre forward who can take up the responsibilities of a serial goal scorer. Fernando Torres has been off the mark, while Samuel Eto’o has been unfit for parts of the season. Hazard joined the club in the summer of 2012 after being chased by Europe’s biggest clubs. Oscar was part of Chelsea’s spending spree in the same period, and has adjusted to life in the Premier League.

Madrid are in the midst of a successful campaign both in the Spanish League and the UEFA Champions League. Also, Barcelona face two transfer window bans for violation of rules. Fiorentino Perez could pounce on this opportunity and try strengthening as much as he can to take a leap over their rivals. Carlo Ancelotti has managed to keep the group of players together, and Oscar along with Hazard could make them even stronger if he can prize them away from the Bridge which seems highly unlikely..
