Lukaku Finally Gets Some Peace Of Mind

Things are still unclear when it comes to Romelu Lukaku. Even though, according to the Daily Mail, he tried to explain why he decided to end his stay with Chelsea, there are still many questions left unanswered. The biggest one is why did Mourinho refuse to keep such a promising striker and chose to bring back veteran Drogba instead of giving Lukaku a chance to shine. The official answer is that the 21 year old was not ready to become a team regular or even fight for a spot in the starting 11. Apparently things are not quite so as Lukaku insisted he was ready to give it his all if the club’s management would have chosen to finally keep him.

The youngster came to London back in 2011. Since then he managed to make 10 Premier League appearances for Chelsea in which he failed to score. While on loan with WBA and Everton, Lukaku proved to be one of the most efficient strikers currently performing in Europe. Even so, Mourinho chose Torres and Drogba over him in what is one of the strangest decisions of the season.

After joining Everton, Lukaku spoke his mind and expressed his disappointment with the way Chelsea treated him. He even went as far as to say that fans were not as supportive of him as they should have been. Fortunately, the 21 year old found his peace of mind with Everton where he spent last season. He looked quite happy with his choice and looked very determined to prove to Chelsea that letting him leave was a mistake.
