Liverpool Getting Ready To Turn Down Offer For Sterling

The Blues could make one of the most surprising transfers of the season after Liverpool’s Raheem Sterling is rumored to be on his way. According to Metro, it seems that the youngster has not managed to agree with his current club on what his contract should look like during the next couple of years. Even if he still has a deal with Liverpool until 2017, he is apparently refusing an extension. The Jamaican born English international who is going to turn 21 this July has managed some really impressive performances during last season and continues to impress with his skill and speed.

Brendan Rodgers is one of Sterling’s biggest fans and has recently admitted that the club should make the 20 year old an offer before it is too late. The winger looks like he is having a great time with Liverpool but will probably want a bit more after this season. Unfortunately for Rodgers’ side, they struggle to win trophies and look to be going down hill after Suarez joined Barcelona.

Sterling has all the time in the world to decide considering his age. Chelsea are expected to come up with an offer in the summer transfer window when they could do some serious squad cut-backs. With Salah and Schurrle ready to leave, Liverpool’s player would have only Willian to compete with for a spot on the right wing. That and the fact that Chelsea are constantly involved in competing for the Champions League trophy and for the Premier League could make the 20 year old change location sometime soon.
