John Terry’s will to end his career at Stamford Bridge might come at a price. According to Metro, the Blues are set to offer JT a new contract as long as he is fine with a massive salary cut. Even though reducing his pay with 50% might get the English international to rethink his last years as a footballer, Mourinho seems determined not to offer the 33 year old defender more than £300,000 per month.

Terry could consider himself lucky as players such as Cole or Torres will not be given the chance to continue playing for Chelsea. Despite the club’s over 30 policy, Terry may stay with the Blues for another year or two. The 33 year old publicly expressed his desire to end his career at Stamford Bridge which has been his only home since he started playing professional football. He has made 419 Premier League appearances and managed to score 34 times since 1998 when he first started playing for the Blues.

Even though rumors have it that Galatasaray are ready to make an official offer for the center back, chances of him ending up playing for any team other than Chelsea are close to 0. The Turkish side will probably go for it considering they managed to land Drogba after leaving Stamford Bridge.

JT is also rumoured to be in line for a pay-as-you-play bonus package in addition to his regular salary which will allow Chelsea to look good while saying he has signed for half his old salary but as long as JT carries on performing at the same level as he has this season he will likely earn the same amount.
