Is This The Time To Recall Some Of Our Young Stars Out On Loan?

There is not much Chelsea fans can hope for this season in regards to the Premier League as the team is already too far behind to actually think about bringing home the important trophy. They are closer to the last place than the first and the Champions League looks like a gamble right now. It is hard to find a positive side to all of this given the fact that the negativity is all around not just with the players or with the manager. There is something that not many have thought of though. This looks like a season that will not count much so why not try making some introductions and breakthroughs for some of the young talent on the Chelsea books?

Chelsea could get something really useful out of this season. Having the most players out on loan out of all the teams in Europe and having a list of youngsters who desperately need experience to grow, the Blues could focus on developing the future generation that could bring them success. Jose Mourinho should be the man to do this especially after last year’s statements when he insisted that Solanke, Baker and Brown will become indispensable for England’s senior national team. Nothing too big has happened so far for the young prospects and the three left the spotlight after making the headlines last year when they won the UEFA Youth League.

Here is a list of players who could be featured in next year’s Premier League games or even in the FA Cup:

Nathan Ake – Left-Back – 20

Lewis Baker – Central Midfielder – 20

Isaiah Brown – Left Winger – 18

Andreas Christensen – Center Back – 19

Dominic Solanke – Striker – 18

Patrick Bamford – Striker – 22

Tomas Kalas – Right Back – 22

Mario Pasalic – Central Midfielder- 20

Islam Feruz – Second Striker – 20

These are only 9 of the players who could be called in to represent the club in the Premier League. It would be a great opportunity for them to gain experience and also to see who can cut it with the big boys. Having 33 players scattered across Europe might not be the most productive football strategy in the world but it is at least getting them important playing time which they would be unlikely to get if they were still with their parent club. Still the time might be ripe for the cream of the loanees to return to their parent club to gain experience under the supervision of their manager.
