Is Roman Abramovich Wanting To Sign Madrid Star?

After losing their spot in the Champions League Final and losing La Liga for the 2nd year in a row, Real Madrid are probably going to rethink their strategy. They have already missed out on their main goals for this season which is unacceptable for a team that spent as much as they did on transfers. According to Metro, the first one to go could be Gareth Bale who is one of the most disliked players at the Bernabeu. The Welshman who is currently the most expensive player in history, has not managed to deal with Spanish football this season despite a good 1st season and seemingly has one foot out the door. One of the reasons for which he is not the player everyone expected him to be is probably Cristiano Ronaldo whose strong personality and influence at the club may weigh in much more than Bale’s talent.

Chelsea were expected to shop for a new striker and maybe a defender but not for a new winger. Bale who started off as a left-back is now playing as a right winger which means he could be competing for a spot in Mourinho’s squad with Willian and Cuadrado. Even though he is an amazing player and has proved he is perfect for the Premier League he does cost a lot of money, money which would be best spent on other key players. Bale is now valued at £81.4m and is not on Mourinho’s list for various reasons. The Portuguese boss is clearly planning on using Hazard as the focal point of the side for quite some time which will be difficult to do with Bale on the pitch. He is also trying to maintain a balance in the changing room which might be altered negatively if Abramovich decides to have his way just as he did with Torres and Shevchenko.
