Hazard’s Spot No Longer Secure?

Hazard’s drop in form may be damaging to the Belgium international who apparently needs to focus more on the team rather than his personal accomplishments. According to ZapSportz, Chelsea’s former number one man and last season’s player of the year is in danger of losing his spot. Hazard came on from the bench during Chelsea’s last win and failed to impress. When asked about the winger’s situation Mourinho provided an unexpected response and informed the press that he created the starting eleven by considering only players who work hard for the good of the team. He may well have had Hazard in mind when he said: “It was leaving super quality on the bench, but bringing tactical discipline and hoping the team could be solid. I will continue that way, or he comes in our direction and tries to emulate the same work that Willian and Pedro put in.”

The 24-year-old should also be worried about having to face even more competition on the left side where Chelsea are getting ready to bring in Ukraine superstar Yevhen Konoplyanka. Currently with Sevilla, the 26-year-old has impressed especially while playing for his country. Cameras spotted Mourinho in Kiev during the clash against Ukraine and Spain which led to even more speculation regarding a possible move.

Hazard is under contract with Chelsea until 2020 but was heavily linked to Real Madrid over the summer. If things continue down this road it is very possible to see an offer from the Spaniards who have been admirers of the Belgium International for a while now. Hopefully though, Hazard will bounce back and start helping the team again which based upon history you would expect to happen soon.
