Hazard Still Down Despite Belgium Goal

Hazard Still Down Despite Belgium Goal

Eden Hazard is probably this year’s biggest mystery. The 24-year-old who is seen by Mourinho as the next in line to be named the World’s Best player, has been somewhat subdued this year and is yet to really help the team during its tough times. According to the Daily Mail, the winger followed Costa’s example and spoke to the press about the lack of form. “I can’t really explain it. All I know is that I will need to work hard in order to bounce back. At Chelsea we have concerns both as a team and individually. We all thought our recent win against Arsenal would give us lift-off – but instead we fell straight back into our bad ways.” To be fair, he is not the only one who thought so. Unfortunately, things turned out differently and Chelsea are still struggling. The good news is that scoring a goal for Belgium, even if it was from a penalty shot, could help Hazard. He still has a week left until Chelsea’s next match which gives him time to charge his batteries.

With no goals this season, fans are still expecting to see the Belgium international bounce back. Despite being part of a team full of stars, he is still the key element in Chelsea’s game. The Blues look a little lost without a fully firing Hazard just as Barcelona or Real without Messi and Ronaldo.  Hopefully Mourinho will know what to do to bring motivation back at Stamford Bridge before it’s too late. Things can still go well for Chelsea this season despite their slow start that has cost them 16 points early in the season and has given City a 10-point advantage.
