Hazard Hints At Lukaku Return

Chelsea and Belgium star Eden Hazard has hinted at a possible return for former striker Romelu Lukaku. New boss Antonio Conte is said to be interested in bringing a new striker to the club when he takes over as manager, and it is reported that he will enquire about Lukaku’s availability.

The Belgian striker left west London two years and joined Everton for £28million, but the 23-year-old has openly expressed his desire to leave the club and play in the Champions League.

Hazard, currently on international duty with Lukaku, responded to questions about the striker returning to Stamford Bridge.

“I don’t know, I don’t want to talk about this.” Hazard said.

“But Romelu is a big striker, he’s a good guy and a good friend of mine. It’s always good to play with the best in the world. For a striker it’s great confidence to score goals. Lukaku showed how good he is (against Ireland). When a striker doesn’t score, he tends to get criticism, but he can take it. He is mentally strong and I am sure he will make the difference for us in each game, I hope.”

New Everton boss Ronald Koeman has dismissed claims that big players will be allowed to leave, but it is unlikely that the Toffees would have any significant say in the deal if the player is willing to move and Chelsea offer good money.
