Hazard Aims To Emulate Lampard’s Career At Stamford Bridge

Eden Hazard has taken inspiration from Chelsea legend Frank Lampard’s spell at the club, and has suggested he wants to try and emulate the former England international’s journey at Stamford Bridge, according to the Daily Mail.

Hazard has been one of Chelsea’s most prolific players in the past few seasons, and the attacker has only become better under new manager Jose Mourinho. The Portuguese manager is renowned for managing big time players at different big clubs, and he is doing the same with Hazard. The Belgian is known for his professionalism on and off the pitch, and that is always a blessing for the manager. Since his move from Lille, Hazard has become one of the world’s most sought after players, and is on his way to breaking records for his age. Playing primarily on the flank, Hazard can cut into the midfield and spring an attack with his quick feet, allowing strikers to feed off him. At the same time, Hazard’s all around prowess means he contributes not only by supplying the strikers, but also by scoring goals himself.

Lampard joined Chelsea from West Ham United, and became an integral part of the team alongside John Terry. The midfielder finished his long spell at West London last season, and has now joined Manchester City on loan from New York FC. Hazard will have to perform at the highest level for a long-time before he can be compared to the classy Lampard but the Belgian has certainly chosen a fine role model to aspire to, so we wish him well.
