Four Moves Just Waiting To Happen

There is so much news regarding transfers especially after what happened with Chelsea during the past couple of months. Some are outrageous but some can really provide useful insight that will assist in making an idea of the club’s future. Here is a list of changes that could really trigger a chain reaction and stir things up for the Londoners.

  1. Guardiola taking over Chelsea – this would probably be the move with the most impact. Seeing the Spaniard’s recent statements makes it clear that he will move to the UK. The fact that he also mentioned he is up for a big challenge can also be a hint he will be taking on Chelsea, who have hit rock bottom. Guardiola will stir things up the most as he will bring a new playing style, a new staff and new players. This is the change everyone is hoping for though.
  2. Didier Drogba’s return – the Ivorian is close to ending his career and he could consider building a career at Stamford Bridge. Why would his move to London change things? Well, it might be that losing important players such as him or Lampard left the team astray with no leader. Sure, Terry is a captain on the pitch but he does not look like the guy to handle conflict and unify the locker room.
  3. Branislav Ivanovic and Terry’s departures – losing these two would mean a massive revolution is waiting to go down. Seen as two of the absolute best defenders in the world last year, they disappointed big time this season and made people wonder if their time at the club is done. According to the Daily Star, Ivanovic is already in contact with Inter and Galatasaray. Terry has yet to make any contact with any other team but has also failed to open contract extension talks.
  4. Remy and Falcao out – Costa is not able to hold the attack on his shoulders, not now when except Willian, all others seem stuck in front of goal. Seeing the two leave would mean at least one striker will join Chelsea. Cavani might be that striker so fingers crossed as it would be quite impressive for any team to have the Uruguayan and Costa to pick from.
