The ‘Romford Pele’, who had not scored in the Premier League that season, curled a super strike beyond the reach of Chelsea goalkeeper Carlo Cudicini from 25 yards out and scored a brilliant opening goal to put Arsenal on the way to the win FA Cup and the first half of the double they won that year.
