Fiorentina To Accept Final Transfer Offer From Chelsea

The young Columbian star who impressed during this summer’s World Cup, is close to becoming one of the Blues’, after Fiorentina has agreed on the transfer fee. According to Metro, £23m did the trick and convinced the Italians to let their star player leave. The 26 year old already had a buy-out clause of £26.8million which meant that if Fiorentina refused, he was going to end up at Stamford Bridge one way or another. Nothing is official yet but all signs pointed towards this move. The fact that Salah and Schurrle are on the transfer list and also the fact that Mourinho has always been an admirer of the Columbian made things quite clear. It is now to be seen, where Cuadrado is going to play.

If all rumors are true and if he joins Chelsea in the next few days, Mourinho will have to make way for the new arrival who is very much similar to Willian or Oscar. Even though he is more of a winger than both Brazilians, it will be quite complicated to remove one of them from the starting eleven. Chelsea have already created a solid system and Cuadrado will have a lot of work ahead if he wants to become a team regular. It will not be impossible though as seen in Cuadrado’s World Cup performances. He is one of the most determined players out there and is very much similar to Alexis Sanchez in terms of attitude. Willian and Oscar will have their hands full with the 26 year old if he does eventually joins Chelsea.
