Chelsea dominated Arsenal and made it impossible for the Gunners to send any shots on target. Fabregas was responsible for the second goal and for many other important moments of the game. He behaved like a real professional and proved once again that he is only looking forward as far as his football career goes. According to Metro, Fabregas insisted that even though he has huge respect for the Gunners, his mind is now set on winning as many trophies as he possibly can with the Blues. This might not please the Gooners who could consider the Spaniard’s statement as being directed towards Arsenal who only this year managed to secure two trophies which came after almost a decade of failures.

Fabregas spoke highly of Arsenal and pointed out that he has only respect for the club which groomed him and taught him what it means to play at the highest level possible. Even so, he reminded Gooners, that football is still more than just about the fans. He expressed his love for Chelsea while mentioning that Gunners’ fans will always be in his heart no matter his destination.

Despite declaring his love for Arsenal fans, it is hard to believe he will receive the same feelings from the Gooners. He was already dealing with some anger on their behalf since leaving for Barcelona and stating that it is his dream to join the Catalans. Moving to Stamford Bridge only made things worse for the Spaniard who will definitely will continue to get a hard time from Gooners whenever Chelsea face Arsenal for the foreseeable.
