Fabregas Impressed By Mourinho’s Take On Football

Cesc Fabregas was subject of one of the summer’s most unexpected moves. Arsenal’s former captain chose to move to Arsenal rivals, Chelsea after exiting Barcelona. The Spaniard who seems very at peace with his decision, said that Mourinho was the reason for his controversial decision. Apparently, according to Metro, the Portuguese boss insisted that Fabregas joins the team even with his past as a former Arsenal captain. The 27 year old who left both the Emirates and Camp Nou on not such a positive note, was deeply impressed by how much Mourinho wanted him at Stamford Bridge.

There was much talk regarding Fabregas’s choice. Some rumors had it that he was turned down by Wenger who told the Spaniard there is no room for him back at the club especially with Ozil being the most expensive player in the club’s history. This version might be partially true considering the fact that The Gunner’s strongest component is their midfield section which is already secured not only by the German midfielder but also by a constantly improving Ramsey and a very promising Wilshere.

Fabregas seems to have made a habit of expressing his disappointment with former clubs and with the way he is treated. After begging Arsenal’s management to allow him to achieve his childhood dream of playing for Barcelona, he failed to become a team regular for the Spaniards. He left Barca with an obvious sense of being underrated just like he did when leaving Emirates.
