EA Sports Reveal Chelsea Players Full FIFA 17 Stats

Last season has had an impact on the way EA Sports assign stats to Chelsea players.  This article compares how Chelsea players fared compared to how the squad did last year. Hazard was dropped to 2nd place in the ranks and Courtois is now leading as one of the best keepers in FIFA 17. The Belgium international is one of the highest rated players in the game and the 3rd highest rated stopper after Neuer and De Gea. His fellow compatriot Eden Hazard lost points when it comes to shooting, passing and dribbling and is now Chelsea’s silver medalist with a rating of 88.  Fabregas also lost ground compared to last season as his pace, shooting and passing skills have been diminished. Below you can see the rest of the ratings and the way they compare to last year’s stats. Keep in mind that the game was released before EA had a chance to analyze the way the team played under Mourinho.

Diego Costa lost a point in his ratings as well and is now featured as an 85 instead of an 86. He lost a lot of points in pace (7 to be exact) lost 1 point in shooting and 2 when it comes to dribbling.

Willian got a well deserved boost in stats now being rated as an 85 instead of an 82. His passing skills were upgraded by 2 points and his dribbling was upgraded by 1.

In the 6th place FIFA enthusiasts will find Nemanja Matic, David Luiz, Cesar Azpilicueta and John Terry. The Serbian midfielder lost a point in passing, gained 3 in dribbling and 1 in defense thus averaging a rating of 84 just like the other three of his teammates mentioned above. PSG’s former defender surprisingly got an overall increase as he was rated as an 83 CB last season. He lost 2 points in dribbling but gained 2 when it comes to his physical condition. Azpilicueta’s stats were increased by 2 points as he was rated as an 82 left-back in FIFA 16. He lost a point in pace but gained 1 in passing and 1 in physical condition. Terry was expected to lose much more compared to last year’s game but instead maintains an 84 rating, 1 point less than in FIFA 16. He lost 1 point in each of the following: dribbling, defensive quality and physical.

The next 4 players all have an 83 rating. Fist there’s Pedro who maintains the exact same numbers as in FIFA 16. Then there’s Oscar who lost 1 point due to a drop when it comes to pace, passing and dribbling. Begovic got an upgrade as he was rated as an 82 stopper last year.  Last but not least there’s Cahill who despite losing 6 points in pace, 1 in dribbling and 2 in defense, maintains an 83 average.

New comers Kante and Batshuayi both have a rating of 81. Leicester’s former midfielder was given a massive 4 point upgrade as he was rated as a 77 in FIFA 16. Belgium’s new rising star got just 2 points to his overall rating.

Zouma and Ivanovic both have an 80 overall rating according to EA. The French center-back, despite suffering a horrendous injury got a 3 point upgrade resulted from additional digits being added to his defensive abilities and to his stamina levels. Ivanovic lost 1 point in defensive abilities but maintains the same rating as last year.

Obi Mikel got a 1 point overall upgrade and Loftus-Cheek got an additional 5 points to his ratings. Two most recent additions share a 77 overall rating. Moses and left-back Marcos Alonso come in last when it comes to Chelsea’s current lot.  [Statistics provided by EA Sports]
