Eden Dzeko has suggested Chelsea will post the biggest threat to Manchester City’s Barclays Premier League crown, as the Champions look set to defend their title in a competitive season ahead, according to the Mirror.

Last season saw City regain supremacy from city rivals Manchester United, who had one of the worst campaigns in their history as a club in the Premier League. Sir Alex Ferguson’s retirement and employment of David Moyes did not work, and United crumbled in their own den, losing to several relegation threatened teams. Chelsea were the underdogs, as Jose Mourinho continued to downplay his side’s chances of challenging for the crown. Liverpool were the dark horse in the race, but succumbed to the pressure in the end.

This time around, Mourinho is well prepared, and with Diego Costa leading the attack line, Chelsea are set to fire on all cylinders to win the title once again. Fernando Torres has been sent on loan to AC Milan, and legendary striker Didier Drogba has been signed by the club to restore invaluable experience in the heart of the attack. Other signings include Cesc Fabregas, who has been a revelation for Mourinho. The Spaniard has been crucial to numerous attacks by the Blues, and has established his spot in the midfield alongside Nemanja Matic.

Dzeko’s performances have improved for City, and the Bosnian will look to capitalise on his run in the first team and hopefully continue to cement his place in the side after he managed to establish himself as a starter in the second half of last season.
