Drogba Proves He Is Not Yet Finished!

Arguably for the first time ever in modern times, Chelsea were the favourites to win at Old Trafford against Louis van Gaal’s Manchester United side. Even without their star striker Diego Costa, they were expected to clinch victory at the Theatre of Dreams.

The now 36-year-old Drogba started for the Blues with Loic Remy joining Costa on the sidelines, and the Ivorian repaid the faith shown in him by Mourinho by expertly heading Chelsea ahead from a corner sent in by Cesc Fabregas.

Surprisingly, Rafael was tasked with marking Drogba at that corner and the former Galatasaray forward, not so surprisingly, bullied him to head Chelsea into the lead. Drogba lasted the whole 90 minutes and hurried and hassled the United back-line throughout as he rolled back the years with a top performance for a 26 year old yet alone a 36 year old!

The Chelsea legend showed in no uncertain terms that he has still got it as he rose to the occasion with the Blues’ only goal and a brilliant performance for his team as he lead the attacking line.

Do you think Drogba can help Chelsea to win the league title this season?
