Eden Hazard’s contract extension has been on the cards for the past few months but the delay has raised doubts about the future of the talented Belgian winger who has been linked with clubs like Paris Saint Germain after proving to be one of Chelsea’s best players, according to the Daily Mail.

Chelsea continued their exceptional winning run in the Barclays Premier League after they beat Everton in a tough encounter at Stamford Bridge. The fixture marked the return of former Chelsea player Romelu Lukaku who spent most of his spell at the club impressing other clubs on loan, and the last of his loan clubs Everton was who he signed for eventually. Gareth Barry was sent off right before the goal when he tripped the Brazilian, and Branislav Ivanovic could face disciplinary action from the Football Association after he appeared to have motioned his head towards James McCarthy following the red card.

Hazard’s existing contract with Chelsea will end in 2017, but Chelsea could use a contract extension to increase the buyout clause which would then only give PSG a chance to sign the player but only for an astronomical fee.
