Courtois Set For Fourth Season At Atletico?

According to TEAMtalk, Atletico Madrid president Enrique Cerezo has revealed the club are in talks with Chelsea for a fourth consecutive loan spell for young goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois, who has taken the football community by storm with another spectacular year in goal.

Chelsea won their away game against Swansea City in the Barclays Premier League, and are still in the running for the league title. The crucial match in the season will come against Liverpool at Anfield, and it will be interesting to see whether Jose Mourinho’s troops can cope up with the pressure in the compact stadium. Manchester City were unable to handle it, and lost 3-2 at the hands of the Reds on Sunday.

Courtois’ position at Chelsea has been untenable ever since his move from Genk in 2011. The young Belgian has never started a Premier League fixture for the club, and has spent the past three seasons at Atletico on loan. However, Petr Cech has finally shown signs of inconsistency in goal, and that could prompt Mourinho to recall the goalkeeper from Spain. Atletico are fighting for the league title themselves, and would grab the opportunity of snapping up the 21-year old for another season.
