Apparently, according to the Daily Express Lampard might be returning as well. Hiddink offered some interesting insight on what happened recently and expressed his fondness of seeing Chelsea’s former no.8 returning to London. “I can see that [Lampard returning to Stamford Bridge], he was recently here when having treatment for his injury and he modestly asked if he could be treated by our physios. I said yes, course. He was a legend asking me and he wanted to be out of hours, when the boys were either not here or gone. I said, no, no. You are one of this family and we would love you to come when everyone is here. The youngsters loved it. They can learn a lot from him and can accelerate their careers by having an eye on someone big like Lampard.”

Going further with the idea of bringing Lampard next to Terry, Hiddink hinted towards the fact that he might also stick around. There is a chance that the 3 will become a team and start working with Chelsea youngsters. To be fair, all three deserve to always have a welcoming open door at Stamford Bridge. Hiddink was always there, Lampard always delivered on the field and was reliable off it and was likely let go too easily and Terry should stay with this club forever. Seeing Lampard and Terry working together would bring joy to fans and would surely improve Chelsea spirit and camaraderie.
