Chelsea’s Romelu Lukaku To Join Tottenham

Despite being one of the best strikers in the Premier League, Lukaku is seemingly still not good enough for Chelsea. It appears that the Belgian will be a last resort for Mourinho who is planning on bringing in two new forwards.

The 20 year old who has yet to score for the Blues, has been on loan since 2012 and despite Mourinho’s disappointment with Torres and Demba Ba, he was sent to Everton at the beginning of the season.

According to the Daily Mail, the Belgian international could be set for a permanent move to Tottenham who are also looking to revitalize their attack. The youngster could even make a profit for Chelsea who spent £18 million on Lukaku but are now looking to sell him for £20 million.

There are still a lot of other things to consider before thinking this transfer will be completed as Tottenham are still uncertain of who their future manager will be so it would be rash to assume Lukaku is as good as transferred.

Another thing that might stand between the Belgian and a definite transfer is the fact that Chelsea may not be able to land any of their targets. Add to that the fact that Demba Ba, Torres and Eto’o are all supposed to be going out the door and you get a very tricky situation for both the club and the player who is clearly not one of Mourinho’s favorites.
