Chelsea’s Costa Fit For Weekend Derby!

Blues boss Jose Mourinho had advised the forward to miss Spain’s double header in the international break to give a rest to his troublesome thighs. However, Costa played more than 170 minutes in two outings for La Furia Roja and also registered his first ever international goal.

The 26-year-old did not suffer any injury and is fit to lead the line for Chelsea in the London derby away to Crystal Palace on Saturday, according to The Guardian.

Chelsea currently top the table and will be looking to extend their advantage by going for all three points at Selhurst Park. Costa has made a dream start to life in the Premier League and will be looking to add to his tally of nine goals in just seven league appearances.

Of all the Chelsea players away on international duty, only Andre Schurrle is a doubt for the weekend after he missed Germany’s 1-1 draw with the Republic of Ireland due to a bout of flu. Also, Ramires and Didier Drogba have resumed full training and could feature in Jose Mourinho’s matchday squad.
