Chelsea Youngsters Leave On Loan

Chelsea Youngsters Leave On Loan

Marco van Ginkel looks like he is on his way back to the Premier League after Mourinho agreed to a loan deal with Stoke City. The Dutchman who has spent his last season in Italy playing for Milan is now back in the Premier League from where hopefully he will find his rhythm for the seasons to come. The 22 year old who has made only 4 appearances for the Blues did not impress while playing in Serie A, but did show signs of improvement which can only be a good sign. He is one of the few youngsters who actually got to play for a big team while being sent off on loan as most of the other players did not receive the same faith placed in them.

The midfielder could be a solution for Chelsea’s future if he toughens up. Looking at the way he plays he is clearly affected by the ligament injuries which kept him away from the pitch for almost an entire year. He does not take too much time on the ball and there is some fear showing while opponents challenge him. After spending time in Italy he started looking like the player Chelsea brought from Vitesse who was expected to bring stability to the middle section of the pitch. Hopefully Van Ginkel, will toughen up after spending some time playing in the UK for Stoke City which is known for being one of the most physical football teams in England.

According to TeamTalk, one other youngster will be sent on loan at the same time with the Dutchman. Andreas Christensen will move to Monchengladbach where he will try becoming a team regular. Chelsea are still the team with the most players out on loan and hopefully both Christensen and Van Ginkel will make the most of their time spent on loan.
