Jose Mourinho is a confirmed admirer of the Republic of Ireland defender Seamus Coleman and is preparing a bid for his services next summer. Coleman has developed into one of the best right-backs in the Premier League and scored a remarkable six goals in the league last season as the Toffees finished fifth.

His form has led Jose Mourinho to table a £20 million bid for his signature next summer, according to Daily Mail. Everton are reportedly wary of rising interest in their star defender and have already started searching for replacements.

Everton manager Roberto Martinez has heaped special praise on his full-backs and he would be loath to see one of them leave. He claimed his two full-backs are the complete package and said “In previous years, full-backs only had to defend – it was a bonus if they crossed the halfway line. But now they have to be able to defend one-on-one, and help offensively too.”
