After Arsenal have been recently linked to Atletico’s Diego Costa, Chelsea also seem interested in signing the Brazilian-born striker. The 25 year old who has showcased some amazing performances over the past few months, would surely be a solution for the Blues who definitely lack some firepower.

The only downside with Costa is the fact that he will most definitely stay with Atletico until the end of the season. With the Spanish side qualifying for the next stage of the Champions League it is hard to believe the striker will leave his club. This could be an issue for Chelsea who need some reinforcements when it comes to their attacking line now.

There is some good news though when it comes to the 25 year old forward. According to Yahoo! EuroSport, Mourinho and he have the same agent which is more than convenient for both Chelsea and Costa. If the Brazilian does decide to leave Atletico, it is likely he will choose Stamford Bridge as his new home.

Activating the £32 million buy-out clause is out of the question before the end of the season. Despite spending a lot of time on loan, Costa has grown attached to his current club and looks determined to help them win at least one trophy this year. Chelsea might no longer be interested in his services by the end of the 2013-2014 season especially with their own Romelu Lukaku returning from Everton where he has managed to become one of the Premier League’s most efficient scorers.
