Chelsea To Sign £33m Striker!

Chelsea look set to sign Marseille striker Michy Batshuayi after the French club accepted a £33million bid for the Belgian.

Batshuayi, who is currently playing at Euro 2016, has been linked with many clubs in Europe, including a host of Champions League sides.

West Ham, Crystal Palace, Spurs and Manchester United are among several English clubs scouting the youngster, who scored 17 goals in Ligue 1 last season. However, it looks as if it will be Chelsea that snap up the 22-year-old.

Chelsea are known to be after a striker this summer, with question marks over Diego Costa’s future, and Batshuayi is expected to reject other offers and become Antonio Conte’s first signing as Chelsea manager.

Sky Sports understand that a deal is close, and that the former Standard Liege striker could be given special dispensation to have a Chelsea medical while in Bordeaux, where Belgium are based ahead of their quarter-final with Wales.

Batashuayi is one of Europe’s most exciting prospects and having already cemented himself in the Belgian squad as well as Marseille’s, it seems as if he will slot right in at Chelsea – where it is expected that he will sign a five-year contract.

It is expected that an official announcement will be made about the striker’s transfer whilst he is in France at the Euro’s – he would then join up with the Chelsea squad for pre season at a later date.
