Chelsea have taken their Champions League elimination more than seriously and are now planning on creating an even more stellar team for next season. According to Metro, the world’s most expensive transfer, Gareth Bale could come to London. Rumors that he will leave Real Madrid at the end of the season have sparked hope in many fans’ minds who would love to see the Welshman take a shot at their adversaries’ defenses. Currently receiving a £300,000-a-week salary, Bale could become Chelsea’s highest paid player. He would also become Mourinho’s most expensive transfer yet, being valued at about £71 million.

Bale has not had the impact everyone expected him to have at Real in his 2nd season so far yet he does have 16 goals, with Ronaldo still being the leader of the group. The 25 year old looks better suited for the Premier League where apparently only Chelsea and Manchester could afford him. After being eliminated by PSG, the Blues will surely make at least one important transfer. Even if Ibrahimovic is being linked more and more often to a move at Stamford Bridge, Bale could be a lot more useful. Despite being played somewhat out of position on the right side, he would probably dominate Willian and newcomer Juan Cuadrado. Despite being brilliant players, Bale’s technique, speed and impressive scoring rate, regardless of his position on the pitch, would make him a number one choice for Mourinho. The Welshman is under contract with Real Madrid until 2019 but could be tempted by a big offer and also by the chance of playing in the Premier League once more.
