Chelsea To Offer Demba Ba A Chance To Play

Demba Ba seems set on taking a change in scenery. The 29 year old who was deeply unsatisfied with the fact that he did not get the chance to play more, will be sent on loan to Turkey after Besiktas agreed to pay most of his salary. According to Metro, the striker is still seen as a third choice when it comes to scoring goals for Chelsea. With Diego Costa on his way and with Lukaku returning from Everton, Ba is once again left behind. After rumors that Drogba might also be returning to Stamford Bridge, the 29 year old knew his future is elsewhere. Even if he will only leave for a year, he will still get the chance to play much more often than under Mourinho’s supervision.

Since moving to Chelsea in 2013, Demba Ba only managed 7 goals in 33 appearances. His performances were mediocre at best and he was outshone by Eto’o and Torres. Hopefully, leaving for Turkey will help him return to the goal scorer who made a name for himself while at Newcastle. The Senegalese striker is in his last two years of contract and his career with Chelsea is pretty much done considering he will be returning to Stamford Bridge with one year left of contract.
