Even though Chelsea are currently the European team with the most players out on loan, the club is still looking to expand. Mourinho seems keen on securing 25 year old Seamus Coleman who is currently playing for Everton. According to Metro, the Blues are preparing a £20 million offer for the Irish international who up until now has made 121 Premier League appearances for the Toffees. Targeting Coleman could mean a series of things. First off, paying so much money for a player means he will be considered as a first choice. That in turn means that Azpiliqueta will stay on the left and that Ivnovic will be replaced. Even though the 30 year old has done a great job as a right-back, he is still better off in the center.

Chelsea will have a big advantage over all other competitors when it comes to Coleman. The man who scouted him and brought him to Everton is now working with Mourinho. Despite being under contract with the Toffees until 2019, he could be tempted to move to Stamford Bridge. The Irishman has repeatedly insisted that his dream is to play in the Champions League. Add to that the fact that Chelsea will probably offer a considerable salary increase and you can imagine that the deal is half way there.

The only thing that might stop the transfer is if Luis picks up his form. The Brazilian was brought in to finally allow Azpiliqueta to perform in his favoured position which is on the right of the defense.
