Chelsea Target In Negotiations Over New Contract!

Seydou Doumbia, the Ivory Coast striker has been in tremendous goal scoring form for his Russian club, having scored 60 league goals in just 92 league appearances. His stock has considerably risen in the past few months and it was his brace that helped CSKA beat Manchester City 2-1 at the Etihad Stadium in their Champions League encounter earlier this month.

The Russian side are aware of the interest attracted by Doumbia, and are thus locked in negotiations with his representatives over a new contract. The 26-year-old has a deal till 2016 and his agent has confirmed that discussions are ongoing, according to the Daily Mail`.

He said, “We are currently in negotiations over a new contract. There is plenty of interest in Seydou from England plus clubs in Spain, Germany and Italy. He is a goal scorer and there aren’t many of them around. However, he is contracted to CSKA and clubs will have to pay their fee.”

Jose Mourinho is keen on adding more attacking options for his use and £15 million-rated Doumbia could be a shrewd piece of business.
