Chelsea Signing Hits Out At Liverpool

Chelsea signing Loic Remy has hit out at Liverpool and has accused them of being dishonest about their side of the story, after the striker’s move from Queens Park Rangers to Anfield failed after nearing completion due to a failed medical as stated by the Merseyside club, as the Daily Star reported.

The Blues will be facing Swansea City this weekend as the Barclays Premier League returns to the fore after the international break that also marked the start of the Euro 2016 qualifiers. Jose Mourinho will be taking nothing for granted, despite facing the Swans at Stamford Bridge. Surprising for many, the Welsh outfit are currently level on points with Chelsea at the top of the Premier League.

Saturday could also mark the debut of Remy, who will face the difficult task of contending for a spot in the starting eleven at the club. Diego Costa is undoubtedly the star striker at Chelsea, and with Didier Drogba coming back with a huge reputation, Remy will find it difficult to establish his place in the team.

Remy moved from France to England with Rangers, who were relegated in that campaign, leading to Remy’s loan move to Newcastle United last season. After a successful season last year on Tyneside, Liverpool approached the player, and as a move was nearing conclusion, they backed out with a failed medical given as the reason. That is when Chelsea pounced on the opportunity and signed the 27-year old as they did not have any problem with the findings of Remy’s medical.
