Chelsea Sends Newly Transferred Mario Pasalic On 1 Year Loan

As expected, Chelsea have sent their most promising youngster to improve his game in Spain. The 19 year old, Mario Pasalic joined Elche on a 1 year loan deal where he will more than likely become a part of the starting line-up. According to the Daily Mail, the Croatian midfielder who left Hajduk Split earlier this month, has already passed the medical over in Valencia where he will be spending his next year.

Apparently, leaving for Spain was not a unilateral decision on behalf of Chelsea. The 19 year old was always a big La Liga fan and hoped to play against Real and Barcelona. Mourinho sat down with Pasalic and they both reached the conclusion that a loan is the perfect solution. Despite being extremely talented, Pasalic was not ready to become a team regular for Chelsea.

Pasalic looked confident that he can help Elche and is probably looking to follow in Courtois’s footsteps who, after his first year in Spain was already one of Atletico’s most important players. After three years in which he grew incredibly in terms of skills and experience, Courtois is now ready to take Cech’s spot which is nothing short of amazing considering how young the Belgian international is.

Hopefully Pasalic will go down the same path. It seems that all the players Chelsea send on loan have the habit of improving their game. Lukaku is another great example that despite his fallout with the Blues still managed to impress while playing for Everton and WBA.
