Chelsea Refuse Implementing Artificial Crowd Noise For Home Games

There were a lot of rumors circulating after Mourinho’s November outburst when he criticized the fans for being too quiet. The Portuguese boss commented on the way fans behave at home games and suggested some measures be taken so as to improve the boost players get from hearing the supporters chant. According to Metro, the best solution would have been to implement some artificial sound mechanisms that would imitate crowd noise and fill in during silent moments. Despite being quiet during the games, fans have spoken out to Mourinho and do not want to hear about such a solution.

Bruce Buck agreed and told the press that no such measures will be taken. The club’s chairman did not comment too much on what Chelsea’s Portuguese boss had to say about the fans at Stamford Bridge but mentioned that it is hard to change things as most of the stadium is filled by people who have had subscriptions for years now. He suggested that a solution could be found if the club could somehow bring more youngsters to the stands. It will be impossible to do so without expanding the stadium considering the people buy their tickets at the beginning of the season and leave little room for new fans to get through.
