Chelsea Ready To Sell One Of Last Season’s Best Premier League Defenders

A lot of changes are waiting to be made at Stamford Bridge where things look to have gotten out of control. As most have noticed, the problem is with the players’ morale. The talent is there but they seem to lack motivation and focus. Mourinho has tried his best to get the pressure off of his players’ shoulders but with little success. With the Winter transfer window just around the corner some changes are expected. Transfer rumors are all over the press and big names are linked to the Blues. Unfortunately, rumors that some of the club’s current footballers will leave have also made the press. Even though some are outrageous and say Hazard will leave for Real and trigger Ronaldo’s arrival to Chelsea, others could really happen.

According to The Guardian the first to leave might be Branislav Ivanovic whose contract will expire in June 2016. Despite being Chelsea’s captain on four occasions this season, he disappointed the fans with some poor performances and a lack of form that is very uncommon for the Serbian. Pairing him with JT who is also inexplicably disoriented this season cost the team points and weighed in heavily in Chelsea’s currently position in the Premier League.

Apparently Ivanovic is ready to pack his bags and move to Serie A which apparently becomes a favored destination for Premier League players who want to spend one or two more years playing at a high level for teams that don’t actually have an age limit. Chelsea are known for offering just 1 year extensions for players over 30 and Inter could be offering to top that in order to secure Ivanovic.
