Chelsea Predicted XI vs West Brom

Chelsea take on West Brom on Sunday hoping to win their first 3 points of the season. The Blues have started the season slowly with a 2-2 draw against Swansea and a 3-0 defeat to Manchester City. Despite Chelsea’s poor start, West Brom look the more vulnerable side and the Blues will certainly want nothing other than a win.

Chelsea’s new £22m signing Pedro has already trained with the Blues and could make his debut, as could new left-back Baba Rahman. Goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois is available again after serving his one match ban which he sustained against Swansea. However, Chelsea will be without Victor Moses and Oscar, who are both out with unspecified injuries.

West Brom have won three of their last four home matches against Chelsea, but they are one of two Premier League teams yet to score a goal this season.

Chelsea have only once lost back-to-back Premier League games under Jose Mourinho – in May 2006 when they had already won the title.

Here’s how we think Chelsea will line up against West Brom:

Courtois

Ivanovic – Terry – Cahill – Azpilicueta

Ramires – Matic

Pedro – Fabregas – Hazard

Costa

Chelsea could be set to give a debut to new signing Pedro, potentially playing the Spaniard on the right of the forward 3.

Diego Costa should start up front once again, with Falcao likely to make yet another substitute appearance.
