Chelsea Predicted Line Up vs Arsenal

Chelsea face a trip to Wembley this Sunday in the new season’s curtain-opener. Arsenal look set to pose a big threat to the Blues in the hunt for the first piece of silverware of the season.

The team set to face the Gunners looks fairly familiar, as Mourinho could well go with the side that predominantly played in last season’s championship winning.

Thibaut Courtois looks likely to retain his starting place, ahead of new signing Asmir Begovic. Meanwhile English duo Cahill and Terry are likely to partner each other at the back, despite Kurt Zouma posing a threat to one of the two’s positions.

Ramires could be set to push Fabregas out of the side, which will ensure he avoids starting against his former side. The Spaniard will probably be introduced into the game at a later time.

The front 3 behind the striker looks set to go unchanged, with Hazard, Oscar and Willian being too hot to handle at the moment. Juan Cuadrado’s future remains uncertain, but it seems rather likely the Colombian will start on the bench.

As for the striking position, Diego Costa looks set to start up-front alone – despite new signing Falcao and Loic Remy impressing during pre-season.
