Chelsea Open Talks With Besiktas

There seems to be an exodus of players going towards Turkey. The clubs have the necessary funds to finance big-time moves and also promise the chance to perform in the Champions League despite players clearly taking a step backwards by leaving the Premier League. According to Squawka, Chelsea will follow in the footsteps of Arsenal and Manchester United who sold two important players to Turkish clubs, and will start negotiations with Besiktas. Loic Remy is the one targeted especially now that Falcao was brought in. It is clear that the Frenchman is not a third option for any team not even Chelsea. He usually delivers every time and rarely disappoints. He could have easily taken Costa’s place throughout the season and even though he might have not scored as much, he still managed to keep the bar high. With Falcao looking to recover from a massive drop in form and with Mourinho looking to revive the Colombian’s fortunes, it will be complicated to have all three players at peace with what the team will look like.

Despite spending just 1 year at Stamford Bridge, Remy is looking close to a departure. The former QPR striker who scored 7 goals last season, could be the perfect replacement for none other than Demba Ba who used to be Besiktas’ main goal man. Joining Besiktas would be a good chance for Remy to get a lot more time on the pitch even though the level of the competition is considerably lower. There is one other more farfetched option which might see Remy signing with West Ham who are also rumored to have an interest in the 28 year old striker.
