Chelsea Might Not Have Finished Doing Business With Atletico

Chelsea’s business with Atletico Madrid could continue as the Spaniards are looking to bring in World Cup winner, Andre Schurrle. The German international has had some great performances on Stamford Bridge but failed to become an established member of the starting line-up. Despite being incredibly versatile and very efficient both as a passer and as a scorer, the 23 year old could not take over Hazard’s spot in Mourinho’s side. According to the Daily Mail, Atletico might take advantage of this situation by making an offer for the German. The La Liga winners have the necessary funds to sign someone like Schurrle who is currently valued at about £20 million which is pretty much the same as Chelsea spent on him when making a deal with Leverkusen.

The young winger could benefit from moving to Spain especially considering the fact that Atletico have no player as good as him currently performing on the left side of the pitch. Despite the obvious benefits which could come with Schurrle’s transfer, Chelsea might not want to let the World Cup winner leave. The Blues will be looking to win as many trophies as possible which means they will need all the manpower they can get. The 23 year old is the perfect substitute for Hazard or Willian who are currently covering the flanks. He has the speed, he has the drive and all the skill in the world to help Chelsea. Unfortunately for him it is still very complicated to become part of the Blues’ starting line-up.
