Abramovich is going to have to find a way to keep Mourinho around for as long as possible. The Portuguese manager is doing an amazing job at the club since starting his second mandate. His incredible tactical skills and his eye for transfers have made Chelsea one of the most powerful teams in the world. He invested very smartly in players who are now exploding on the pitch. He also implemented his own playing style with the Blues who lead in the Premier League and are considered favorites for winning the Champions League. Despite Mourinho’s statements in which he insisted that he will want to stay with Chelsea for many years, rumors of his departure have emerged. According to Metro, it seems that Barcelona’s Joan Laporta is planning on bringing in the Portuguese manager as part of his plan to revive the club.

If Laporta wins the elections, he promises he will change the manager. Mourinho was always a Barcelona fan despite taking over Real Madrid for a couple of years. The idea of winning a Champions League trophy with a Spanish team might be very appealing for him especially if he manages to win the trophy with Chelsea this year. It is going to be a complicated situation for Abramovich to handle. Hopefully the idea of becoming like Ferguson and managing a team for years will be more appealing than winning the Champions League with four different teams.
